LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Anger on the football field caused a 14-year-old player to lose a tooth at the freshman Maumelle-Pulaski Academy matchup Thursday.
"I couldn't feel it. It happened so quick," said David Miller.
He says it all started when he went up against a Pulaski team member on the field.
"I didn't start it. I just blocked him and he got mad and he tried to rip my helmet off," said Miller.
He says the player was pulling so hard, the chin strap yanked his tooth out. His dad rushed him to the hospital.
"The doctor said it ripped the whole tooth out," said David Miller, Sr.
But the teen will be okay.
In the meantime, Pulaski Academy Headmaster Matt Walsh says the school is still looking into what happened and trying to determine what will happen next. Maumelle school leaders say they are also looking into what happened because both players were thrown out of the game
Miller says he will get a partial tooth on Monday.
A police report was filed.
